Celebrities do have weight fluctuations. The most public weight fluctuation Paula Abdul ever had was at the 1990 VMA, where she shocked the crowd by wearing a type black body suit during a dance routine after gaining 20 pounds.

More recently, she has packed on some weight (and since lost it). But the weight gain was noticeable in her arms and tummy. Compare the photos.
